2. How much does a TV commercial cost?

There are many factors that determine the cost of a TV commercial: style, complexity of the idea, run-time/length, and target deadline are a few of the factors that will influence the price of your video. We've put together some average price ranges for each type of video so you can get an idea of the cost for your project:

  • 15 Second TV Commercial: $40k - $100k
  • 30 Second TV Commercial: $50k - $150k
  • 60 Second TV Commercial: $75k - $200k

If you'd like an accurate quote for your project, just fill out the info on our Quote Page and we'll get back to you as quickly as possible.

3. How long does it take to create a TV commercial?

Our typical production process requires 3-4 weeks from start to finish, plus however long it takes to integrate your feedback and changes into the commercial. Here's an overview of the average timeline for each type of video project:

  • 15 Second TV Commercial: 8-10 weeks on average
  • 30 Second TV Commercial: 10-12 weeks on average
  • 60 Second TV Commercial: 12-14 weeks on average

It's important to note that these are estimated timelines and every project is different in terms of how many review rounds are needed, length of the concept development phase, complexity of the edit, and so on – which all have an impact on the overall length of the TV commercial creation process. Please reach out to us on our Contact Page if you have a specific deadline and we'll get back to you with a custom timeline for your project.

4. Is it possible to speed up the production process for TV commercials?

Yes, we've developed an ultra fast 14-21 day production process for rapid turnaround projects that have an immediate deadline. It's not possible for certain types of projects, such as animated commercials, but as long as the idea isn't too complex then we can make it happen.

Keep in mind that super faster delivery times means a lot of overtime and/or weekend hours for our team, which will increase the cost of our services to accommodate the production effort necessary to meet a tight deadline.

5. What additional video production services does Filmless provide?

We provide everything from customer testimonial videos and animated videos to explainer videos, training videos and everything in between. Here's a full list of the additional services we provide:

Feel free to reach out to us on our Contact Page if your content creation needs are different from what's listed and we'll be happy to get back to you with more options on how we can work together.

6. How are your TV commercials managed?

Our TV commercials are typically managed in the cloud via our Google Workspace Enterprise account, where we store all of your files in neatly organized project folders in Google Drive. However, many of our clients have their own file storage services such as Box, Dropbox, SharePoint, etc. which we can also use to store your files. Let us know if you have a dedicated file storage service you’d like us to use and we’ll setup our project folders on your platform.

During the project, you can be as hands-on or hands-off as you’d like throughout the process. Many of our clients like us to take as much work off of their plate as possible, and we’re happy to do so. From concepts to scripts to planning and logistics to final deliverables, we can handle everything internally without direction. However, we do encourage your input and operate in a very collaborative way which allows you to provide feedback during each step of the process if you’d like. Or, simply give us instructions at the beginning of the project and sit back and wait until your TV commercials are ready for your feedback and approval.

7. How do I start a new TV advertising project?

Go to our Quote Page and fill out the details about your TV ad. You can also send us an email or give us a call, although the quote form is a great way to provide us with some background information about your needs ahead of time which can help jumpstart the process.

Once we have your info, one of our Executive Producers will reach out to you typically within one hour or less to set up a call to talk about the specific details of your project – the call takes approximately 30 minutes.

This initial call allows us to understand the ideas you have in mind for your TV ads, such as the number of video deliverables, intended length(s), and the style you're after. We'll also go through our production process with you and discuss the ballpark costs and turnaround times.

Next, we'll send you a proposal with the full breakdown of your project, the price of each line item, and a target timeline so you know exactly what to expect. If everything looks good, we'll send you a Statement of Work to sign electronically, at which point we can schedule our kickoff call together to get the project started.

8. Is there any benefit to creating multiple TV ads at once?

Yes, every TV marketing strategy can benefit significantly from adding multiple videos to the mix, such as short social media cutdown videos or alternative cuts.

We offer bulk discounts on projects that have 2 or more TV advertisements, so it's a more budget friendly approach to TV ad spending. TV ads are compelling pieces of content and will help you improve, enhance, and direct the effectiveness of your marketing campaign, and we want to make them as affordable as possible.

Being able to visually introduce your business and products to your customers in a matter of seconds will go a long way to drive awareness, views, visitors, and conversions to those areas of your online presence where you need them the most. Having multiple TV advertisements will greatly improve your ability to accomplish your marketing goals.

9. Does Filmless offer additional creative services, such as photography and graphic design?

Yes, we have a talented roster of photographers and graphic designers ready to step in on any project. If you need multiple creative assets for your project – such as a 30 second TV ad, custom photos, and banner ads for the web – we provide all of that under one roof.

If you have more unique creative needs for your project, reach out to us on our Contact Page and we'll provide you with assistance for your specific requirements.

When you work with a full-service video production agency like us, it brings the convenience of a one-stop-shop for your entire project, from conception to completion. This integrated approach ensures that every phase, including conceptualization, storyboarding, filming, editing, and final delivery, is seamlessly coordinated.

The advantage of this holistic approach is the streamlined communication it offers, providing you with a singular point of contact for all inquiries and progress updates, making your TV production experience much more efficient and streamlined.

12. What are the stages of video production?

There are 3 stages to create TV advertisements: pre-production, production, and post-production. We provide support for all three stages to ensure a successful production process for every one of your promo videos. Here's a quick breakdown of each phase:

  1. Pre-Production: This stage involves planning and preparing all the necessary details before filming begins. This includes concept ideation, script writing, storyboarding, casting, location scouting, and scheduling.
  2. Production: The second stage is the execution phase where the camera rolls and the project starts to come alive. This is when the actual filming or shooting of your video takes place. It's also a hands-on process where we capture footage that's engaging, stylish, and tailored to your audience's interests.
  3. Post-Production: The last phase is where all the elements of the video are assembled, edited, and refined to produce the final version of the project. This includes video editing, sound mixing, adding music, voice-overs, and graphics. The effective use of footage is crucial to ensure the final product is engaging and conveys information in concise, easily digestible segments.

Check out our Video Production Process page if you’d like to see a full breakdown of our process and the support we offer during each phase of production.
